Waste water treatment units

A cost-effective wastewater treatment solution for a manufacturer of electric sub-stations

A manufacturer of electric sub-stations sprays surface coating and paint layers on concrete islands during the fabrication process. The tools are cleaned after each application which generates hundreds of contaminated water per week!

A wastewater treatment solution adapted to the specific needs of our client

Hundreds of litres of untreated contaminated water

A manufacturer of electric sub-stations needs to spray a surface coating and layer of paint on concrete islands during the fabrication process. The tools are cleaned after each application which generates 200 to 300 L of contaminated water per week! These wash waters are then collected in a IBC container, where they are stored, and then transported to the treatment plants for destruction. These logistical processes cause high costs in addition to presenting real ecological risks.

Looking for an economical and sustainable alternative

In the absence of effective management of contaminated water, the customer increases economical costs and environmental risks and through storage and transport. Our client is determined to finding an efficient and sustainable solution.

A wastewater treatment solution adapted to the specific needs of our client

We installed an SW100 wastewater treatment and recycling station, with a flow of 100 L/H. The SW100 offers the smallest capacity available and features a semi-automatic operation. Thanks to its electric control panel, it has the advantage of being easy to use and intuitive. The station also includes a wastewater storage tank capacity of 500 L as well as a clear water storage tank capacity of 500 L, equipped with a booster and a series of filters.

Our client is now able to manage autonomously its wastewater, which in turn facilitates its industrial operations and avoids environmental damage.

An autonomous process and high-performance equipment

Wastewater is collected in a tank and carried near the treatment station. An immersed stainless-steel pump transfers the wastewater to a storage tank on the spot. This tank is equipped with an agitator that prevents the settling of suspended particles. The wastewater is then sent to the reactor of the station for treatment.

The resulting clean water is transferred to the clear water tank which is equipped with a blower and anti-bacterial filters towards the washing workstation.

This treatment is continuous and in closed circuit. When the level of water in circulation reaches a minimum threshold due to evaporation, an inflow of city water supply is added automatically.

Clean and recycled water can now be used for the cleaning of the equipment or be rejected with confidence directly to the water line!

Benefits and results

  • The new process removes the stagnation of polluted water and transport, thus eliminating environmental risks
  • Recycled water is now used in the rinsing process of soiled equipment.
  • The station limits water consumption
  • Easy and intuitive use of the equipment station
  • The station and storage tanks are made of polypropylene which is a robust, easy to maintain, durable material
  • Recycling and water treatment reduce the operational costs and are part of a sustainable development initiative
